Eco Beach

I've been  Eco Beach for just over a week now. Life is good here; the weather is so hot and sunny everyday, I have a beautiful view of the ocean all day, and I can hear the waves rolling up against the shore as I fall a sleep at night.

The scenery around Eco Beach is stunning and has some of the best sunsets that I have ever seen. If I look one way there is beautiful red cliffs and then if I look another way there is stunning coastline. Life is good here.

I live in a tent, and I share my tent with a girl named Jessica. She's from Australia from a place just south of Perth. There are no toilet facilities in my tent so we have shower and toilet stalls. Often times when I take a shower there is a nice green tree frog staring up at me, I sometimes splash water on them to hydrate them. Other times when I lift the lid to go to the toilet there is a frog in the toilet bowl, not my first choice of somewhere to hang out but hey whatever floats your boat. One night I woke up and there was a frog sitting on my head, I think I screamed so loud that I woke everyone up. Oops!

Out here at Eco Beach it is just the resort and the wilderness. The town of Broom is about 1.5 hours away, and its not the easiest thing to get into Broome. My fellow work mate is hitch hiking there today, I'm excited to hear about his adventure.

Whats not so good about Eco Beach is the flies, they are such pesters. The mozzies are thick, I look like I have chicken pox from all the bites. Because it is so hot you can sometimes acquire these things called tropical boils. I have 2, they are the most painful and disgusting things I have ever seen. One is so bad that I will probably have to go to the doctor and have it surgically popped, can't wait for that experience...and medical bill.

I have been in Australia for almost 8 months to the day now, and Im starting to get over it. I have a flight booked to come back to Canada on August 19th. I think and hope that I will be back before that. I am so sad that I am going to miss a Haliburton summer because last summer was the best summer ever!
